Nepean Nighthawks Field Hockey Club is a community-driven, not-for-profit sports organization based in Ottawa, Ontario, dedicated to the development and promotion of field hockey for players of all ages and skill levels.

Project overview

Nepean Nighthawks Field Hockey Club has experienced steady growth since its founding, expanding from a single women’s team into a thriving, not-for-profit organization serving players of all ages and skill levels. However, the club’s digital presence no longer reflected its scale, diversity of programs, or community-focused values.

With a wide audience that includes parents, youth players, adult athletes, coaches, umpires, and volunteers, the club needed a clear and welcoming website that could effectively communicate opportunities and encourage participation.

Our approach

We created a clean, structured, and user-friendly website designed to support both current members and newcomers to the club. Content was reorganized to highlight programs by age group and level, making it easy for visitors to understand pathways for participation and development.

The design emphasizes accessibility, simplicity, and community, ensuring the site feels inviting while remaining practical and informative. The final result is a flexible digital platform that strengthens engagement, improves communication, and supports the Nepean Nighthawks’ mission to grow the sport of field hockey in the Ottawa area.
