Ottawa Uyghur Centre

Ottawa Uyghur Centre (OUC) is an inclusive Islamic community centre in Ottawa dedicated to nurturing faith, strengthening families, and supporting youth through religious education, worship, and community engagement. The centre serves Muslims in Ottawa and the surrounding region in alignment with the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

Project overview

The Ottawa Uyghur Centre needed a clear and purposeful online presence that reflects the depth of its mission and community activities. The previous website structure did not effectively communicate the centre’s programs, services, and community focus, making it difficult for visitors to find key information about worship opportunities, educational offerings, and outreach initiatives.

The goal was to create a digital platform that presents the centre as a welcoming and active hub for both spiritual growth and community support, accessible to members of the Ottawa Muslim community as well as newcomers seeking connection and resources.

Our approach

We redesigned the Ottawa Uyghur Centre’s website to prioritize clarity, coherence, and relevance for diverse audiences. Content was organized to highlight core offerings — including prayer services, Qur’an education, youth support programs, and interfaith or community outreach — in a way that feels intuitive and meaningful.

The new site reinforces the centre’s role as a place of spiritual enrichment and social connection. It supports the OUC’s mission by making essential information easy to discover and by presenting the organization as a trusted community resource.
